CASQ-it IGI: MORE EFFICIENT INSPECTIONS USING MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTIC CATEGORIES

Reading Time: 1 Minutes 18.11.2020 Currents & Trends

Concentrating on the essentials considerably improves the efficiency of your workflows. In your goods receipt section, this specifically means: If you reduce the scope of your inspections to cover only the characteristics of the morphological category, this will save you both time and money – and this is now supported by a new, additional function in CASQ-it IGI.

AUTOMATIC CONTROL OF THE SCOPE OF YOUR INSPECTIONS

One sole characteristic is defined and inspected as a substitute for several other characteristics. If no defect is detected, this means that your inspection is completed in just one single inspection step – this reduces the level of inspection effort involved enormously. Here is an example: Instead of checking the length, width, height and other characteristics, only the weight of a packaging unit is inspected. This provides information as to whether this packaging unit actually contains all the required individual packages. Additional expenditure is only incurred in the event of an error: Only where an inspection of the characteristic – i.e. the so-called morphological category – results in a rejected status does the inspection need to be extended to include additional characteristics.

This new CASQ-it IGI function, which results in higher efficiency levels in your goods receipt section, is now included in Q-Release 15.
