Our Activities

A Cheerful Get-Together – and Even the Sun Decided to Join the Fun

On the morning of September 1 in Wuppertal, we needed a good dose of optimism as the sky clearly wasn't in the mood for a summer celebration. But we were! And by the afternoon, the sun became our guest of honor! We enjoyed a cheerful summer party with our guests, the Proalpha Group companies from the Western region, all the way into the evening. The delicious buffet had everything you'd expect from a proper BBQ: burgers, spareribs, and salads, with all the fixings to create our favorite burger combos. Awesome! A big thank-you to the organizing team and the caterers! It was a wonderful, sunny and joy-filled summer party 2023.

Apprenticeship Kickoff 2023

On August 1, 2023, we welcomed eight talented young apprentices who began their training in application development and system integration. A warm welcome to Tobias Hesterberg, Ardit Idrizi, Hüseyin Tek, Lukas Kulike, Denis Zawodniak, Paul Kühne, Nico Henderkott, and Macaire Kippes! We're absolutely thrilled to have you on board and look forward to the fresh ideas you'll bring to our software development. As digital natives, you're a perfect match for us. Let's make this an exciting and successful apprenticeship journey!

Apprentice Excursion

On March 11, ten apprentices from the first to third year of training visited the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum (HNF) in Paderborn. Together with their training supervisor, Karsten Wegelin, they took part in a guided tour through 5,000 years of information technology. As digital natives, they gained insights into the origins of today's global data and communication world – from the first written characters to typewriters, calculators, computers, and robots. Fun and team spirit are essential parts of our apprenticeship program!

Eight Charging Stations for Electric and Hybrid Vehicles

Since July 2020, we have been offering visitors and employees at our Wuppertal site access to eight charging points – four dual charging stations with 22 kW AC capacity each – for the eco-friendly powering of electric and hybrid vehicles. With this initiative, we're making a clear commitment to supporting forward-looking technologies.

Apprenticeship at Böhme & Weihs

From day one, our apprentices in application development and system integration are fully integrated into the workflows and structures of our company. Over the course of their training, they get to know various departments, independently manage apprentice projects, and are given the freedom to pursue their own ideas.

Promoting Young Talent in IT

Developing a website or writing a small software program — for five interns aged between 14 and 16, these wishes became true. During their internship, they explored what it's like to train as an IT specialist in system integration and application development. We're pleased to see how much interest these internship opportunities are generating. Through these internships, we support young talents in exploring career paths and gaining training experience as part of our initiative to promote regional IT talent development.
