Meeting of the FMEA Community in Osnabrück
Gold standards for FMEA processes and outcomes with and without AI – these topics were the focus of the 19th FMEA Forum Osnabrück from March 6–7. The organizer was Dietz Consultants, led by Winfried Dietz, who is one of the leading figures in this QM discipline, just like Dr. Alexander Schloske, who was present as a speaker.
Discussing developments and best practices
The FMEA Forum Osnabrück is, with the European FMEA Congress in Vienna and the FMEA Congress in Nanjing (China), the world's most important conference on the topic of FMEA. The approximately 150 participants turned Osnabrück into a meeting place for the international FMEA community during these days. Profound professional and technical discussions were as inspiring as discussions on the latest developments, techniques and best practices in risk assessment and quality improvement. Dietz Consultants provided the platform and the community was willing to share their knowledge and encourage collaboration.
Focusing on FMEA and Artificial Intelligence
Well-known speakers reported on current trends, market developments and challenges, with a particular emphasis on FMEA and artificial intelligence. Winfried Dietz spoke in his presentation about "Gold Standard for FMEA with and without AI" and Andreas Aichele from Fraunhofer Institute presented an "Update AI for FMEA".

Great interest in the release of the FMEA V9
Böhme & Weihs was once again one of the five exhibitors in 2024. Almost all participants took the opportunity to learn about the new main release 9 of the CASQ-it FMEA at our booth and to get a first impression of the user interface, which is now fully integrated into the Q Studio.
Networking while eating kale
Two evening events complemented the conference. The highlight on the evening of the first day: the traditional kale dinner at the Rampendahl brewery in Osnabrück. This provided an opportunity to network after the intriguing presentations and interactive workshops, which our representatives Dr. Rüdiger Gotzes-Wolff and Ingo Lammert made great use of.
