Empolis Executive Forum: Resilience in Production
Exciting speech by Dr. Norbert Böhme at the Empolis Executive Forum 2023
Under the motto "Resiliently withstanding the crisis with people and digitization", 300 participants discussed at the 20th Empolis Executive Forum in Berlin how companies are becoming more successful with digitized processes and how they are transforming the flood of data and information into relevant knowledge. The informative event focused on well-known speakers such as Olympic champion and entrepreneur Prof. Dr. Michael Groß and AI expert Prof. Dr. Peter Gentsch, and was complemented by presentations from representatives Markus v. Schlichtkrull-Guse and Maximilian Exner from Miele, Jan Fassl from Pfeiffer Vacuum, and Dr. Christian Ripperda from the Interroll Group. Organizer Empolis was represented by Andreas Klüter and Eric Brabänder, and Böhme & Weihs was represented by Prof. Dr. Norbert Böhme.

CAQ and AI complement each other
In his speech, Norbert Böhme focused on the two essential aspects of resilience in general and production in particular: avoiding disruptions and limiting the negative consequences of critical events. Both scenarios are relevant for the development of software for error-free quality processes and are forecasted by our developers. Professor Dr. Böhme gave his audience two important insights on the path to a digitized and automated future: Resilience needs information, and CAQ and AI complement each other perfectly in providing the information.
An example: Our CAQ software CASQ-it includes the QMIS (Quality Information System) module, which provides up-to-date analyses and key figures on quality processes and clearly displays them in the CASQ-it dashboard. If a tool change is necessary on a machine according to quality information, Empolis' AI software supplements the information on how to perform the tool change. That is efficient interaction!

Future-oriented Empolis Executive Forum
This provided the audience with an insight into a digitized world where AI relieves employees without replacing them and meaningfully complements well-designed tools. In the special atmosphere of the BOLLE ballrooms, guests were able to discuss the presentations and network until late in the evening. Final unanimous verdict at the end: a thoroughly successful and pioneering Empolis Executive Forum 2023.
