Alexandra Horn has been Head of SME Promotion at DIN since August 2019 and is committed to ensuring that SMEs have easier access to standardization and are actively involved in the processes. She previously managed the cooperations and projects of the Federal Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses where she acquired and managed publicly funded projects. This included the role of Consortium Head of the SME 4.0 Competence Center in Berlin, which was supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy . In earlier professional positions, she worked as a public affairs consultant advising corporations and associations in Brussels in the pharmaceutical, consumer protection and SME policy areas. She studied History, French and Spanish at the Universities of Heidelberg, Montpellier and Madrid and graduated after completing her First State Examination.
